Application Engineer

We’re seeking a proactive Application Engineer to join a fast-growing company, where you will be the key point of contact for a valued customer. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment and provide on-site operational support, while building strong customer relationships and ensuring their satisfaction. Your technical expertise, combined with your attention to detail and organisational skills, will be essential in maintaining smooth operations and resolving application issues.
  
Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Develop an in-depth understanding of multi-beam mask recorders and support their operation on-site.
• Serve as the primary interface for customer application issues.
• Perform and monitor first-level troubleshooting and coordinate second-level application problem resolution.
• Collaborate with equipment engineers and the service team to monitor tools and prevent downtime.
• Manage customer projects by coordinating time and resources effectively.

  
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
• Experience in cleanrooms and familiarity with Python/Jira are a plus.
• Proficiency in Office programs and Unix/Linux is recommended.
