Overview
Delve Recruitment are currently working with an innovative and well-established manufacturing/engineering business who are looking to add an Applications Engineer to their commercial team in Cheshire.
The Role
Reporting into the Head of Commercial, you will be sitting in between Sales and Operations in order to propose and develop engineering solutions using your knowledge of wastewater treatment.
You will be getting involved from the first enquiry stage working with the client to understand what the problem is to determine what solution could be put in place to solve the issues. They are looking for someone with the appropriate wastewater knowledge to be able to ask the right questions to get to the right solution for the client. You would be involved in the first few steps, then it would get passed onto a Process Engineer so you will be liaising with multiple departments in the business. You would also be working with R&D in relation to the development of the products.

Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Chemistry or related degree
- Technical background but also Sales experience
- Must have experience and understanding within industrial wastewater treatment (could be down stream, upstream or tertiary)
- Experience with calculating Capex and Opex
- Personable, approachable, customer facing
- Hands on approach
- Strong attention to detail
- Commutable to site (Runcorn/Warrington area)
- UK and International travel required – eg. Europe, USA, China
- Speaking multiple languages would be desirable
