Sustainability

Sustainability at Delve

By becoming a more sustainable business we can demonstrate our leadership and commitment to a healthy and safe future for all.

We aim to do our best to work towards sustainability. We’re not perfect, but it is something that we take very seriously.

We vow to continually monitor and reduce our environmental impact by making changes where we can, ensuring that we incorporate environmental factors into all of our business decisions.

Delve’s sustainability strategies

Virtual business structure

To minimise our carbon footprint we operate a virtual business structure to avoid excess travel. We hold meetings virtually, offer flexible working and where transport is required always consider the most practical and environmentally friendly method of travel.

We offer home-working to our team to further reduce travel needs.

Recycling

We recycle as much of our waste as possible including:

  • Cardboard and paper
  • Plastics
  • Batteries
  • Furniture and office hardware

Energy

We use low energy appliances wherever possible, have motion sensitive LED lighting in our office and turn off appliances when not in use.

We also monitor our energy and water usage to help keep track of our usage and highlight any areas where we may be able to make further improvements.

Paperless office

We avoid using physical stationery and printing documents wherever possible by utilising cloud based solutions.

For when this can’t be avoided, we buy recycled or recyclable products and use FSC certified paper from sustainable sources.

Procurement

We reduce our supplies by only buying what we need and buying in bulk where possible to reduce packaging and the number of deliveries. We use local suppliers where possible to reduce our carbon footprint and support our local economy.

We bank with Starling Bank, because we consider them to be one of the most environmentally and socially responsible banks in the UK.

Our cleaning products are environmentally friendly and we use re-usable towels, crockery and cutlery.

Next steps...

Our next steps to becoming more sustainable include:

  • Food waste composting / recycling
  • Introducing a charitable sustainability contribution scheme
  • Switching to more sustainable energy suppliers
