Business Development Manager
About the Role:
They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the business expansion efforts. In this strategic role, you will drive the growth of their proteomic solutions portfolio by forging key partnerships, identifying new market opportunities, and nurturing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand their presence in the proteomics research and life sciences industries.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, and research organizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and tailor solutions that align with their capabilities.
  • Drive revenue growth by proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including licensing agreements, collaborations, and strategic alliances.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform business strategies.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions, ensuring that partnerships are mutually beneficial and aligned with their objectives.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, tradeshows, and networking events to promote our solutions and build a strong professional network.
  • Provide insights and feedback to internal teams for product development and improvement based on market feedback.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a life sciences or related field. MSc preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales within the life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sectors, with a focus on proteomics being a strong advantage.
  • In-depth understanding of proteomics research, data analysis, and related technologies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective engagement with internal teams and external clients.
  • Proactive and results-oriented, with a passion for driving innovation and scientific advancement.
