Sales Director (Europe)

The business is a global semiconductor leader which is recognised for their quality management standards, including ISO certifications, and ranked among the top players in NOR Flash and 32-bit MCU markets globally. They provide localised support through branch offices worldwide, delivering high-performance, low-power solutions for diverse markets such as industrial, automotive, consumer, and IoT.
  
Selection of Key Responsibilities:
  
  • Strategic Business Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives in the semiconductor devices market. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to expand market share and revenue.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer requirements and provide tailored solutions. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the team is equipped to effectively promote and sell semiconductor products. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture. Manage distribution channels.
  • Market Analysis and Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. Conduct market research to identify potential customers, evaluate market demand, and assess the competitive landscape. Utilise market intelligence to make informed decisions and develop effective sales strategies.
  
Selection of Key Requirements:
  
  • Deep understanding of technology (MCUs, Memory and Sensor technologies) with corresponding pain points and competitive solutions.
  • 10-15 years experience in sales, business development or strategic marketing positions in the global semiconductor components industry.
  • Extensive networks with key ODMs and Tier 1s in major industries such as consumer, automotive, IoT and industrial.
  • Proven track record / capability of growing a business unit in Europe. Must thrive in a fast-growing and dynamic team environment.
  • Enjoys working with international stakeholders with different cultural perspectives. Willing to travel internationally.
