We're on the lookout for a talented Automation Engineer to join a growing team and play a pivotal role in programming and optimising complex systems. Working for a leading provider of vacuum coating systems and coating materials, operating in a number of different sectors including the exciting Semiconductor Industry!
 
Your Role:
As an Automation Engineer, you'll dive headfirst into a range of exciting responsibilities, including:

• PLC programming of intricate systems, leveraging your expertise to ensure seamless functionality.
• Crafting intuitive HMIs that enhance user experience and efficiency.
• Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to address technical inquiries and concerns.
• Generating and transmitting technical data to the documentation department, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Delivering on-time development and production document creation to support operational needs.

 
Your Expertise:
We're seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Technical training or a completed technical degree - most likely in mechatronics, electrical engineering or similar field.
• Proficiency in PLC programming, particularly in TIA Portal.
• Desirable is knowledge of high-level languages such as SCL, C, or C#.
• A strong grasp of technical concepts and a willingness to take on new tasks, and solve problems independently.
• Assertiveness and effective communication skills to navigate diverse stakeholder interactions.
• A team player mentality, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, enabling seamless collaboration in a multicultural environment. Preferably German speaking (minimum B1).
• Willingness to travel for business purposes, embracing new opportunities and experiences.
